Best Accommodations to Choose While Visiting Niagara Falls from the USA Side

Niagara Falls, located in Canada, is a truly breathtaking sight. However, if you're planning your visit from the USA side, you might be wondering where to stay. While accommodations in Niagara Falls can often be expensive, there are several excellent options in nearby towns such as Chippawa, Welland, and St. Catharines.

Why Stay in Chippawa, Welland, or St. Catharines?

Do not hesitate to stay in Niagara Falls itself. While it offers all the excitement and views of the world-renowned falls, many accommodation options there are significantly overpriced. Instead, consider staying in nearby towns, such as Chippawa, Welland, or St. Catharines, where you can find better deals and still enjoy the convenience of being close to the falls and other attractions.

Best Hotels for Visiting Niagara Falls from the USA Side

If you're planning your stay on the Canadian side of the falls, you have some excellent options. Travelodge By the Falls is one such choice. Located just ashort walk away from the falls, this hotel is conveniently situated near a variety of food and leisure options. I have stayed here multiple times, and it consistently provides a great experience without breaking the bank.

Comfort Inn the Pointe

Another wonderful option is the Comfort Inn the Pointe, which I had the pleasure of staying at in June. This hotel is both clean and comfortable, with outstanding staff. It's only a short 5-minute walk from the edge of the American Falls, the park trolley stop, and the Maid of the Mist tour. It's an ideal location for your stay.

High-End Hotel Options

For those who are willing to spend more, the best hotels are located along the escarpment. Options include Marriott Embassy Suites, Oaks Inn, Sheraton, Crowne Plaza, and Hilton. As we approach off-season, these hotels tend to offer more competitive prices. Other reputable options are Wyndham Garden, Marriot Courtyard, and DoubleTree. If you're looking for more economical choices, Days Inn and Quality Inn are also available, though they may offer slightly lower rates.

Planning Your Stay During Peak Season

It's important to keep in mind that rooms can be quite expensive, especially during peak season. However, it's currently a good time to book as the U.S. dollar is worth 1.30 relative to the Canadian dollar, which can help offset the costs of visiting the Canadian side. To ensure you get the best deal, it's advisable to make your reservation well in advance, particularly if you plan to visit during the summer months.

Additional Tips

Consider visiting both the U.S. and Canadian sides of Niagara Falls. You can stay in the U.S. and easily take day trips to explore the Canadian side. Both sides offer stunning views and unique experiences, such as the beautiful casino on the American side and the extensive tourist facilities on the Canadian side.

Regardless of where you choose to stay, your visit to Niagara Falls will be an unforgettable experience. Whether you opt for a budget-friendly stay or a more luxurious one, prioritize being close to the falls and nearby attractions to make the most of your trip.
