Dream Living Arrangements: My Ideal Home and Lifestyle

dream home: My Ideal Living Arrangements

When I imagine my dream home, it looks quite different from the typical portrayal. The ideal scenario is a place where I can live solo, with a few pets to keep me company. A separate suite for housekeeping staff, whom I don't mind doing the household chores, and time to focus on other essential tasks such as cleaning litter boxes and picking up dog poop—these elements add to the charm of my dream home.

However, the reality seems to be:

My Ideal Family and Companions

I have five people in mind for my dream home: my wife, my children, and my parents. Granted, with everyone having their own room, this arrangement seems perfectly balanced. Even with five dogs to keep us company, the excitement and joy of having a family and loved ones around is unparalleled.

Factors Influencing Living Arrangements

The size of the house, the quality and quantity of the servants, and the compatibility of the other people living there are all significant factors. My dream home in Toluca has three floors, five bedrooms, and five bathrooms. It is home to excellent housekeepers who handle everything from cooking to gardening. However, it can be challenging when people come late at night after the servants have left and the dogs are let loose. Over the years, this house has played host to numerous relatives and close friends who get along well with the staff.

In contrast, my condo in Chicago is a studio, perfect for my wife and me. While it shares a similar floorplan, it offers a slightly better view of the lake and Lincoln Park. Like the Toluca home, it also faces challenges when people arrive late after the housekeepers have gone.

Shared Living and Parade of Homes

Several years ago, my wife and I attended a local parade of homes. We encountered about a dozen new homes built by various local builders. Some of these homes were so large that it made me wish for a way to share the costs with a couple of other families to live in one home together.

Even though sharing the house with others isn't an option, I have considered building a shared home with a couple of other families. The idea of a duplex with common areas, including a large kitchen, would have been really fun. Before getting married, I lived with seven other guys in a four-bedroom rental, and our time together was nothing short of enjoyable.

Kickback with Family and Friends

My dad, my sister, and a few other guys were there were not just any guys. They were handsome, and I always found their well-endowed companions to be extremely attractive.

Final Thoughts

While imagining my ideal living arrangements, it's important to consider all the aspects that contribute to a harmonious and enjoyable environment. Whether it's a solo living setup or sharing living space with loved ones, my dream home aims to provide a balance of privacy, companionship, and comfort.
