My Village Home: A Serene Escape in Deserted Bliss
Living in a Rural Paradise
Residing in a village offers us a spacious and open living environment, thanks to the ample space of 7000 square feet. We embrace the natural ventilation and wide-open spaces, which act as a refreshing retreat from the bustling city life. Our sturdy walls, adorned with fairy lights during festive seasons, add a touch of magic to our abode.
Memories and Traditions
Our vast plot, once a cricket field in our childhood, now houses our cows. Reflecting on the good old days, it's heartwarming to see how much these memories enrich our lives. Each corner of this expansive home holds a precious memory. Whether it's the room with the gandasa and flour grinding machine, or the entrance lit up like a fairytale during festivals, every space narrates a story.
The Joy of Festivals
The season synonymous with light and celebration is approaching, and our gated community comes alive with festive decorations. The common space is adorned with tuni bulbs, adding a magical touch to our community. The entire building is beautifully refurbished, with the entrance decked up in lights, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
I personally took the initiative to add a festive touch to our home as well. Using two types of fairy lights to decorate the door, I took great care to ensure that I didn't damage the walls with cellotape. Celebrating together, without the noise pollution and air pollution, makes these festivals all the more special.
Celebrate Festivals in Harmony
During this time, the whole country is decked up in lights and joy. While some may complain about the noise, others worry about air pollution, we choose to celebrate together in harmony and joy. The lighted lamps, or 'Prodeep' in Bengali, placed by my mother add a warm glow to the evening. The cotton wicks are rolled and the oil is carefully poured by me, transforming a mundane task into a cherished family ritual.
As the evening rolls in, the fairy lights illuminate our home, bringing a sense of serenity and warmth. Festivals are about coming together, and our community's celebration is a perfect example of that. Let's celebrate, light up our lives, and cherish these moments together.
Conclusion
Though we could easily relocate to the city, our deep-rooted love for the ornate suburbs of our village and the desi lifestyle continue to keep us grounded. Each corner of our home speaks of our heritage, our traditions, and the joy of living in a place where every moment is filled with memories.
