Self-Indulgence: Splurging on Breads, Pens, and Coffee

Self-Indulgence: Splurging on Breads, Pens, and Coffee

Today, I made a huge purchase that caught many by surprise. It was a huge loaf of sourdough bread, which is as unique as it is large. I stumbled upon this magnificent loaf while browsing the shelves, and it seemed to me that the perfect use would be for making some homemade cheeseburgers. But it’s not just any sourdough; its robust nature might even make for a delicious French toast. Don't be fooled; sourdough can indeed make for a fantastic base.

Other Spiffs I Couldn't Resist

Amongst the splurges, I also picked up a bottle of dry gas, a spool of dazzling thread, and some Zebra Sarasa Grand pens. I admit, I didn't need the thread or the gas, but the shiny blue thread would look amazing I believe it, eventually. My collection of pens now includes a few more Zebra Sarasa Grand pens, as I find myself a nicer person and ready to share these beauties with those fortunate enough to receive one. With only four pens left, I know I might need to acquire a few more.

Steamrolling into a New Coffee Journey

My interest in coffee has been growing recently. However, in India, coffee is mostly synonymous with Nescafe. The only variety of coffee widely available is their instant coffee. In fact, I’ve never had any other variety except Nescafe, and that’s no secret. Being a creature of habit, I was quite excited when my cousin recommended trying Bevzilla and Blue Tokai. My journey started with Bevzilla, a box of 48 sachets containing 4 assorted flavors: Butterscotch, French Vanilla, Hazelnut, and Columbian Gold.

The flavor assortment made it interesting. Each sachet costs a fraction of the box - 4.35 rupees only for 48 sachets. I decided to try all four flavors, and if there were a fifth, I would indulge in it. I sipped each one with great anticipation, and the flavors did not disappoint. The Butterscotch and French Vanilla were my favorites. The Columbian Gold was similar to Nescafe, but the Hazelnut was too mild for my taste.

Today I have had four cups of coffee, and I’m already craving my fifth cup. Life is too short to deny oneself a delightful cup of coffee. If you’re looking for a new flavor to discover, you might just want to give Bevzilla a try. Sip by sip, I’m excited to see how this new coffee journey unfolds.
