The Battle Between Humans and Technology: A Dyslexic's Perspective
As a dyslexic individual, my relationship with technology is often fraught with challenges and frustrations. The modern world may be advancing with remarkable speed, but for me, it feels more like a battlefield where the forces of technology continually test my limits.
Technological Harassment
I find myself a constant target for the annoying digital interventions that plague my daily life. Electronics are set up to trigger increased bowel movements just after I enjoy a delicious meal, and they even play tricks on my brain by oxygenating it when I try to rest. This not only keeps me awake at night but can also disrupt my daily routine.
To add to the torment, my personal space is invaded by automated smudge art in my peripheral vision. It is a frustrating and disturbing experience, especially when I am trying to concentrate. And don't get me started on the tech's ability to indoctrinate me through indirect attack methods. When I am particularly annoyed, tiny electric pulses are used to simulate a rapeful sensation in my anus. These repetitive psychological assaults are woes that continue until I beat the system, at which point they turn to parasitic struggles to claw their last bit of dignity back.
Dyslexic Challenges with Technology
My daily life is a constant terror due to technology, especially since I am dyslexic. Simple tasks like logging into a Yahoo account can become a tedious process. Several years ago, I attempted to reset my password, but the system rejected it as being too similar to my old one. This back-and-forth procedure made me question my own capabilities, leading me to believe that the fault might be with me, only to find out later that it was indeed the technology.
Technical Snafus and Solutions
As a self-proclaimed computer geek, I typically handle digital issues with ease. However, even I was caught off guard by a recent incident. On a visit to downtown, my server-provided internet access mysteriously stopped working. I meticulously checked every possible setting and even consulted a local mobile shop. Although the issue was ultimately resolved, the underlying issue remained a mystery. It transpired that the ADL setting on my mobile was incorrectly configured. How this happened and why I didn't know about it is another mystery to ponder.
Fear of Science
While the microscopic representation of COVID-19 infecting human cells is incredibly advanced, it also looks terrifying and disconcerting. The fear of science and the unknown looms over me, especially with the constant monitoring and tracking through apps during the coronavirus pandemic. Even something as simple as my hair can look like an alien invasion under a microscope.
Conclusion
Living with dyslexia and navigating modern technology can be a daunting journey. However, it is not without its rewards. Despite the constant hounding and disruptions, there is still joy in discovering new technological advancements and trying them out. Hopefully, as technology advances, it will become more user-friendly and less obtrusive, making life easier for everyone, especially those with unique learning challenges.
