Also, considering the current limitations in materials, clear aluminum or plastics that can withstand the heat are not yet available. Clear plastics and glass are out of the question due to the extreme heat generated during toasting. Therefore, we are generally left with checking the toaster from above to ensure the bread's doneness consistently.
